Safety Measures
Lighting a candle is both an art and a responsibility. Please follow the instructions below for a safe and beautiful burn.
Candle Lighting Cautions
• Always keep burning candles within sight. Never leave a lit candle unattended.
• Place the candle on a heat-resistant, stable surface away from flammable objects.
• Keep away from children, pets, curtains, and drafts.
• Do not burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
• Keep the wick trimmed to ¼ inch (6 mm) (or 1/8 inch for wooden wicks) to prevent soot and overheating.
• Never move a candle while the wax is hot or the flame is burning.
• Do not touch or pick up the candle until it has completely cooled.
• Stop burning when ¼ inch (6 mm) of wax remains at the bottom.
• Avoid using water to extinguish; use a snuffer to safely put out the flame.
• Do not burn candles near vents, fans, or open windows to prevent uneven burning.
